1st Energy is a relatively new addition to the utility market of Australia, having started its operations only in 2014. 1st Energy plans for gas and electric services are available to residents of NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, and TAS.
What 1st Energy plans are available to customers?
1st Energy has six plans available for their electric services. The details for all of these are below:
- 1st Saver
1st Saver features prices that are equal to the reference price for that territory. One essential advantage of this plan is that customers can save even more because of the 1st Saver on-time payment discount.
Other features include no credit card fees, no exit fees, and no extra charges for paper bills. Solar tariffs for this plan, however, are quite low.
- Prepaid Value
This plan allows customers to pay a deposit of $1,000, with any leftover balance refunded at the end of the contract. Note, however, that this plan is only available to residents of VIC.
- 1st Solar Bonus
This plan has prices equal to the reference price and features some of the highest feed-in tariffs for this provider.
Other features include no credit card fees, no additional charges for paper bills, and no exit fees when the contract ends.
- 1st Plus
This electric service plan is only available to residents of TAS. It gives customers a $50 credit after the sixth and twelfth months of subscription. Like other plans, it also features no credit card fees, no extra charges for paper bills, and no exit fees.
- RACT Offer
This plan is only available to TAS residents that are members of RACT. It features a 6% on-time payment discount, as well as no credit card fees, no paper bill extra charges, and no exit fees.
- Standing Offer (Electric)
Standing Offer is the default plan for customers that do not choose any other plan. The prices are similar to the reference price, with minimal special features.
Gas plans available in Victoria
This provider also has gas plans, but these plans are available to residents of Victoria only. The two plans are the following:
- 1st Saver Plus Gas
This plan features a 12% discount off market usage, as well as a 4% pay-on-time discount.
- Standing Offer (Gas)
Standing Offer is the default for customers who do not choose 1st Saver.

Take note that the prices given above are mere annual estimates for single rates. Also, keep in mind that AGL electric services (RACT Saver, 1st Solar Bonus, and 1st Plus) are available in Tasmania. However, annual estimates for this territory are unavailable.
Gas services, on the other hand, are only available in Victoria. Annual estimates for gas services are below:
