AGL Energy Review

Read Here for Our AGL Energy Review:

AGL Energy provides gas and electrical services to 5 different Australian territories. As one of the country’s most prominent utility companies, AGL Energy plans are worth it for both new and established homeowners.

What AGL Energy plans are available?

AGL provides gas and electric services to NSW, VIC, QLD, and SA. Gas-only services are also available in WA.

The Australian Gas Light Company has six main plans offered to customers: AGL Super Saver, AGL Flexible Saver, Solar Savers, AGL Set and Forget, AGL Savers, and New Home Plan. The details for each are below:

  1. AGL Super Saver

AGL Super Saver features no lock-in, meaning customers can change or close their plans anytime. Also, this plan promises a fixed rate for the 12 months that it is active. Once the duration is over, users can choose to renew or terminate the plan.

As a downside, AGL Super Saver only allows for e-Billing. Transactions are therefore done online or through email.

  1. AGL Flexible Saver

This plan also has no lock-in. Electrical and gas rates are variable, meaning they can go up or down during the subscription. Regarding the subscription itself, no renewal is required once the subscription lapses.

Billing options for this plan are flexible in terms of frequency and medium of billing.

  1. Solar Savers

Solar Savers is similar to AGL Flexible Saver regarding no lock-in, variable rates, no renewal, and flexible billing options. Note that Solar Savers is an exclusively electric service plan which features the highest solar feed-in tariffs for this provider.

  1. AGL Set and Forget

AGL Set and Forget is a gas-only plan available to WA residents. It features 51% off from gas consumption when paid using direct debit.

  1. AGL Savers

AGL Savers is another gas-only plan for WA residents. It features a 50% discount on gas consumption and supply charges.

  1. New Home Plan

Offered only for new homes in QLD and SA, this plan has fixed usage and supply fees for the first 200 days of subscription and variable rates afterwards.
